Dyslexia TherapyFaye provides dyslexia therapy services to children in the elementary grades. Trained as a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) by the rigorous Neuhaus Education Center, Faye is also a member of the Academic Language Therapy Association. In addition to private therapy students, Faye works with children with dyslexia, ADHD, dysgraphia, and other learning disabilities as a certified special education teacher.
Children who have not yet received formal reading instruction, including pre-kindergarteners and kindergarteners, may also be supported through an Orton-Gillingham-based reading readiness program. This therapeutic work focuses on phonological awareness, the alphabetic principle, phonemic awareness, multisensory letter introduction, and other skills to boost the struggling learner or to launch a pre-reader into formal reading instruction. Contact Faye to discuss which program is right for your child. Learning SupportUnlike a tutor helping children complete and understand current assignments, learning support services accommodate different learning profiles by adapting the presentation of classroom material. Further, we address underlying gaps in the foundational knowledge that interferes with the child's ability to access and succeed in grade-level curriculum. Learning support services can also address study skills and executive functioning skills, which are often needed for children with a variety of specific learning disabilities, including ADHD and dyslexia.
